• Living The Dream

In 2009, we moved to the Kapiti Coast, New Zealand, from England. It was hard leaving my family, in the UK but hubby and I could never really find the balance; passing each other in the hallway (shifts and callout), the daily commute and sleeping in on weekends due to long, tiring weeks.

  • New Possibilities

Eleven years later and with my Mum, Dad and sister now in New Zealand, we relocated to a lovely, small, town north of Auckland. Leaving my job, due to the move, made me think about new possibilities. I’ve always had a creative eye and experimented with acrylic paint pours, as a hobby.

  • Kirsty Jane Designs Was Born

With more time to think and reflect and with the encouragement of friends and family, I decided that I should just go for it and follow my passion, so Kirsty Jane Designs was born. Someone once said to me, ‘if you love what you do, you’ll never work again.’ So, in 2021, Dad built me a great workspace and Mum has enjoyed shopping with me; more paints and products, for my small studio.

  • Sustainability

I am passionate about sustainability, the paint that runs off my canvases, I use for many of my other items. No waste, just a little mess to clear up at the end of the day! I have put some FAQ’s at that end, but always love questions so please feel free to contact me and ask away if I haven’t covered your question already.

    Best,

    KJ
